Does massage replace a chiropractor?
No, massage therapy is not a replacement for chiropractic care. It serves as a complementary treatment, supporting your overall well-being and aiding in muscle recovery and relaxation. We always recommend consulting with a chiropractor or medical professional for specific spinal or skeletal issues.

What services does Myoflex Massage offer?

When can I book an appointment?

Do you offer in-house visits?
Yes, we offer in-house visits by pre-booking only. This allows us to ensure we can provide the best possible service in the comfort of your own home. Please contact us in advance to arrange your appointment.

Is my data safe?

Yes, GDPR are applied and strictly followed.
Relevant information may be communicated to GP services in case of referrals.

Do you offer on-site visits?
Yes, Myoflex Massage also provides on-site visits. This service is ideal for businesses or events looking to offer massage therapy to their employees or participants. Please get in touch to discuss your specific requirements.

What is the difference between deep tissue and Swedish massage?
Deep tissue massage focuses on targeting deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, often used for chronic muscle pain or injury recovery. Swedish massage is a gentler technique, primarily for relaxation, stress reduction, and improving circulation.

How do I prepare for a massage?

To prepare for your massage, we recommend wearing comfortable clothing and hydrating well before your appointment. Please inform your therapist of any specific areas of concern or medical conditions you may have. 

To achieve the best results from your treatment, it is recommended that the area being worked on is accessible. Everyone is encouraged only to expose as much of the treatment area as they feel comfortable with. Professional draping techniques will be used at all times to ensure your privacy, comfort, and dignity throughout the session.

Can I get a massage if I am under the age of 18?

Yes - however please note all minors (people under the age of 18) must be accompanied by an adult at all times for the duration of the session.

Chaperons for the adult customers are also welcome, should an individual feel more comfortable with someone accompanying them during the session

I have a specific condition
  • Acute injuries (muscle tears, ligament sprains, or joint dislocations under 72 hours old)
  • Open wounds (cuts, severe grazes, or fresh burns)
  • Skin infections (ringworm, impetigo, or athlete's foot)
  • Severe bruising (large or deep hematomas)
  • Varicose veins (direct pressure on swollen veins)
  • Unhealed fractures (broken bones)
  • Recent surgical scars (healed skin that is still tender or weak)
  • High fever (38°C/100.4°F or above)
  • Infectious illnesses (flu, stomach bugs, contagious viruses)
  • Blood clots (Deep Vein Thrombosis / DVT)
  • Severe heart conditions (uncontrolled high blood pressure, recent heart attack, or stroke)
  • Active cancer (unless cleared by an oncologist)
  • Bleeding disorders (severe hemophilia or heavy use of blood thinners)
  • Alcohol or drug intoxication
